Goooooood morning!

Guys!  I was so friggin ecstatic when I got asked to be a part of this tour!  I was through the roof happy!!!  I decided upon making a dress for Azriella AND making a dress for Akira... Not just any dress, this was Akira's first ever dress!!!  I firmly believe in not making or putting my babies in dresses for the simple fact that dresses look better when they are not crumpled up in someone's lap!  Also, a baby trying to crawl in a dress is such a hard thing to do!  So it's been a rule of mine to wait till they can at least stand on their own before I make them a dress!

So I made this pintucked beauty by the Charming Doodle called {affiliate linkthe Limon Dress for Akira in a modified sized 12-18months.  It was perfect for a friend of mine's recent wedding!  I found this gorgeous silk charmeuse at Jo-ann's and fell in love!  I lined it in a simple cream muslin fabric so as to keep it nice and airy for the summer!  It is such an adorable pattern!!!!

And I just couldn't stop at one dress.  I mean, the collection is so adorable!  I really wanted to make something special for Azriella... something that we could artistically collaborate on!

{affiliate linkThe Antalya Dress by coffee + thread was so whimsical I just knew Azriella would love it.  And she does!

I took a comforter cover I got from IKEA and watercolored it...

...with aqua blue lines to mimic a notebook pad.  We both took turns drawing out doodles with Fabric crayons and then I pressed them to the fabric and added some doodley elements to the dress... Like the scribblings you might make in a sketchbook when you were a child!

I am so in love with the turnout!  And as much as I wanted to finish making the London Backpack, I unfortuneately ran out of time but will definitely post it here when I finish!

It was so much fun making these adorable dresses!  Check out the whole collection {affiliate linkhere!  Thanks ladies so much for having me!  And now for some out takes and gratuitous photo love!
