KCWC Spring 2013 Day 5: Sparkles + Unicorns
KCWC Spring 2013 Day 5:
Sparkles + Unicorns
Patterns:
blouse: pattern K from "A Sunny Spot"
pants: {affiliate link} Hosh Pants PDF by LouBee Clothing
Pattern Devitations:
blouse: As always lately, I make Azy's sizing the width of a 2T with the length of a 5T. Also, handmade buttons from FIMO polymer clay
pants: added side belt loops, and I opted to not make them adjustable this time.
It's really hard to photograph the radiance of these pants!!! They shimmer so much and are the perfect accompaniment to Azy's colorful unicorn blouse! I made the Hosh pants in a size 5T and they are perfectly skinny, however I will be sewing a pair of old leggings into them because she complained that they were too "stikey" (she's wearing them underneath in the pics above). That's my bad. I was so dead-set on finding the perfect compliment to her shirt that I guess I misjudged what is comfortable to a 5 year old. She was perfectly happy with the addition of the leggings. And yes folks, there is no way that shirt was a miss. As soon as she got off the school bus I asked if she wanted to wear her new unicorn shirt (which I finished two minutes before going to the bus stop!) Of course her sister had to bomb the photoshoot (again).
That's it for now!!! Oh and did you jump over yet to check out the outfit that Max made? I sent her that fabric because I know how much she loves Star Wars!!! You have to go check out the cuteness!!!
Until tomorrow!
YAY! You're here! I'm so happy! I'm Kat! Mom, shawol, and pattern designer, this is the place where I share all of my sewing projects, chibi cosplay fashion, and DIY/tutorials! Everything around here is action-packed with color, silliness, and tons of kawaii stuff!
