🎄🐱Pusheen Christmas!🐾🎁

Happy Holidays!!! Our theme this year was Pusheen Christmas and I made sweet lil outfits for my sweet lil mini mes!

It happen to snow this year for Christmas which is not something that happens often in Portland! We were so super excited to light up the fireplace, drink festive beverages, take in the scents of the Christmas trees, and generally soak up as much holiday cheer as possible!!

We went with something the girls were super into these days: Pusheen cats in holiday settings! I made sweaters that reflect each girls’s dress theme too! I used the Friday Dress PDF Pattern by Petit a Petit and my own pattern that I’m working on to sell, the Touka Sweater! I use this pattern for almost everything; it’s by far my most favorite!

I added a little Hiragana on their backs that, when standing together from eldest to youngest, spells “MERRY CHRISTMAS” in Japanese! There are also little paws on the bottoms of the sweaters’ sleeves!

Azriella’s Hot Cocoa

I made a little sweater fleece cup pocket on the front of her sweater with a snap-on candy cane that she can “dip” in her hot chocolate! Her Friday dress (size 10Y) is a print that reminded me of a Christmas cup print and I drafted it to have a rounded, color-blocked top with white, “marshmallow” collar pieces!

I tried really hard to make sure the pattern matched up just right!

Sephira’s Christmas Tree

For Sephira, I decided to make a red Christmas tree with pockets hidden in the, um, leaves 😂 , little ornament pom-poms, and a puffy star on top! I did some slashing of the Friday dress pattern (size 6Y) so that I could color-block it to look like a Christmas tree when she put her arms down at her sides. I finished it with a red bow collar on top of her tree dress!

I really like the way the colors pop with this one!

Akira’s Milk + Cookies

There’s nothing more fun for the girls when the holidays come around than making cookies! Every year I make some sort of cookie plus lots of other treats that we enjoy on the day I thought “cookies” would be the cutest for my little Akira!

I made her Touka sweater with a plate of chocolate cookies and a “glass of milk” pocket which (usually) holds a gingerbread man cookie! Only the gingerbread man, much like the story, was prone to running off, so he’s not in the outdoor pics, but he is in a couple of the indoor sweater pics!

Her dress (4Y) is in a fabric I love: this icy blue cotton flocked with silver snowflakes! I thought it reminded me of icing and I made a sprinkled button placket and collar, much like her MIA gingerbread man.

That’s about it! These girlies had so much fun playing in the snow and enjoying the sun! I got a lot of really cute shots of them, and they were laughing so much the whole time!

Well! I hope you liked our holiday post for 2017! See you again soon!!!! Hugs + stitches, Kat!!!
